We asked other designers "How did you first learn to go about the design internship recruiting process?". Their answers are summarized below:
When we first started recruiting, like the other designers above, we did a ton of research and learned from the mistakes we made along the way. It took us 3 years to get comfortable with the design recruitment process and get the internships that we wanted.
As you might know by now, finding up to date, accurate, and properly consolidated information on the design recruiting process can be difficult, especially if your school doesn't have a strong design student or alumni network.
This design recruiting guide is something that we wish we had when we first started, so we decided to make it for you.
<aside> 🌱 How did we make this guide? We interviewed experienced designers and design interns, as well as some design recruiters, to get the most accurate and helpful information on the intern recruiting process. Our contributors' names are credited at the bottom of this document.
Who is this guide for? Any design student who is starting out on their design journey.
